Legal Aid can now be requested online

The Electronic Legal Aid measure was implemented, allowing the online request for Legal Protection through Social Security Direct. The aim is to avoid the need to submit paper forms, facilitate the analysis of the requests and reduce response times.

Legal Protection is granted to people and non-profit entities that are unable to pay the costs related to legal proceedings. It covers situations of dismissal, divorce, eviction and seizures, among others. It can also help in cases of divorce by mutual consent.

The Electronic Judicial Support is a Simplex measure, co-financed by PT2020, which integrates the program established together with the Agency for Administrative Modernization.
