Turismo de Portugal awards “Clean & Safe” stamp to tourism companies

06.05.2020

Turismo de Portugal (Tourism of Portugal) provides the "Clean & Safe" label to distinguish companies in the tourism sector that comply with the recommendations of the General Directorate of Health to avoid contamination of spaces with the new coronavirus.

Companies wishing to obtain the seal must comply with the set of provisions in the "Statement of Commitment", which differ by type of establishment and tourist activity:

This recognition is valid for one year, is free and optional, and requires the implementation in companies of an internal protocol that, according to the recommendations of the General Directorate of Health, ensures the necessary hygiene to avoid risks of contagion and guarantees safe procedures for the operation of tourist activities.

The "Clean & Safe" label can already be obtained online on the digital platforms of Turismo de Portugal: National Register of Tourist Enterprises (RNET), National Register of Tourist Animation Agents (RNAAT) and National Register of Travel and Tourism Agents (RNAVT) and will always be associated with the registration number.

Once the Statement of Commitment is submitted by the companies, they can use the "Clean & Safe" label, either physically in their facilities or in their presence in the digital platforms.

Turismo de Portugal, in coordination with the competent entities, will carry out random audits to the participating establishments.

Soon companies from other areas of activity will be able to access this label through the Entrepreneur’s Desk (ePortugal.gov.pt).
