What are the documents and requirements to request licenses and permits on the Capitania Online+ platform?
Depending on the service you want, you may need:
- municipal licences or licences from other authorities, where necessary;
- a plan or schedule of the works;
- other documents, such as a permit from Turismo de Portugal or from the Directorate-General for Economic Activities.

How request licenses and permits on the Capitania Online+ platform?
Online
To use the service, you will need to follow the steps below.
- Access Capitania Online+ and click on ‘Entrar’ [enter] in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
- Sign in using one of the following options:
- Digital Mobile Key (CMD),
- Citizen Card,
- login details for the Tax Office portal.
- Select the type of service – requests and licences.
- Complete the form.
In person
At the Capitania Online Automatic Terminals (TACO), available for use from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 16:00 in maritime office buildings.
You will receive the licence or a reply to your request within 72 hours.
