When can you revalidate the driving license?

The ages of those who must revalidate the license depend on the type of license held or the date when it was obtained.

You must revalidate the license until your birthday

For example, if you must revalidate your license until you turn 50, you must do it until the last day you are 49 years old. The license expires on the day you turn 50. The deadline to process the revalidation starts 6 months before.

Avoid fines and new examinations

It is important to revalidate your license within the deadline. Driving with a license is penalized with fines. And, if you allow more than two years to go by after the deadline without revalidating the license, you must retake the driving exam to obtain a new license.
