How simular a valorização de Certificados do Tesouro?

You may redeem (collect) the total or a part of the certificates. The amount paid for the certificates you redeem includes:

  • the amount corresponding to the quantity of certificates to redeem
  • the accrued interest of these certificates
  • the permanence awards of these certificates.

The certificates’ interest is calculated every three months. The interest’s amount (after deducting the tax) is added to the certificates’ amount. This is called interest capitalisation. If you collect the certificates before the end of the three-month period, the interest of this three-month period will not be paid.

If you collect the certificates at a Citizen Space or in the case of series E certificates

The certificates’ amount is transfer to the bank account associated to the subscription, within 2 business days.

If you collect the certificates online or at the CTT or in the case of series A, B, C or D certificates

The certificates’ amount is transfer to the bank account associated to the subscription, within 2 business days. Alternatively, you may receive a CTT’s cheque, which may be withdrawn by the individual to which the cheque is issued (not to the order cheque).
