Get a digital queue ticket for Citizen Shops

If you need to go to Citizen Shop, you can take a digital queue ticket for the Shop service desks, before going there.

The service tickets are available on the ePortugal portal and on the Citizen Map app, 15 minutes after the opening of each shop and up to one hour before they close.

HOW TO GET a queue ticket online on the ePortugal portal

On the Citizen Shops pages on the ePortugal portal

  1. Go to the public service bureaus page.
  2. Use the filters on the left and choose "Citizen Shop" and the district you want.
  3. Click on the Citizen Shop of your choosing. It will open the Shop’s page.
  4. On the Citizen Shop’s page you chose, on the tab "Desks and tickets", click on the desk you want and then choose the service.
  5. Choose whether you want to receive the ticket by SMS or e-mail.
  6. Show the digital queue ticket as proof when your number is called at the desk.

On the Citizen Map on the ePortugal portal

  1. Go to the Citizen Map. On the right side of the screen you will see a list of Citizen Shops near you.
  2. Click on the Shop of your choosing. It will open the Shop’s page.
  3. On the Citizen Shop’s page you chose, on the tab "Services", click on the desk you want and then choose the service. Click on "Get ticket".
  4. Choose whether you want to receive the ticket by SMS or e-mail.
  5. Show the digital queue ticket as proof when your number is called at the desk.

On the Citizen Map app (available for iOS and Android)

  1. Open the app and search for the Shop nearest to you. Browsing the map you will see the existing Citizen Shops.
  2. Choose the Citizen Shop you prefer. A new menu will open.
  3. In the "Services" tab of the menu, choose the desk you want and then choose the service. Click on "Get ticket".
  4. Choose whether you want to receive the ticket by SMS or e-mail.
  5. Show the digital queue ticket as proof when your number is called at the desk.

Keep track of the queue ticket line

After you get your service ticket, you can receive an SMS alert when it’s nearing your turn.

To do this, send an SMS to 3838 with the following text and format:

SIGA (space) [TICKET CODE] (space) [NUMBER OF TICKETS BEFOREHAND YOU WANT TO RECEIVE THE ALERT]. e.g: SIGA 1234567 8.

The ticket code is indicated on the digital queue ticket you receive by SMS or email, or on the paper queue ticket you receive in the Shop.
