Applications for the Emprego Interior MAIS government measure are open

The applications for the measure "Interior Employment Plus - Supported Mobility for a Sustainable Interior", which is part of the "Work in the Interior" program, are now available on the IEFP website. Through this measure, workers who move to the countryside to work have access to direct financial support.

The direct financial support for those moving to the interior will be 2,633 €, plus an additional 20% for each member of the household (up to a limit of 1,316 €). There will also be support for the cost of moving, up to a limit of 878 €.

Thus, this measure will provide initial support of up to €4,827 for workers who decide to move to the interior.

Unemployed workers or employees looking for a new job can apply. Beneficiaries must have a full-time contract with a minimum duration of more than one year, or they can apply by creating their own job.

Applications must be submitted within 90 days of the conclusion of the employment contract or creation of the own job or company.

The Government has already included a 25% surcharge in the support in the scope of the Return Program for those who settle in the hinterland to work. The Support Measure for the Return of Emigrants now grants an initial support of 3.291 euros (above the 2.633 assigned to those who settle in other areas of the country).
