The new Citizen Spot in Alcântara opened to the public on November 18th, at the Mercado Rosa Agulhas in Lisbon.

During the opening ceremony, Minister of State Modernization and Public Administration, Alexandra Leitão, highlighted the importance of the Citizen Spot, as a place which brings services closer to those who really need them.

Citizen Spots offer dozens of services, including the revalidation of driving license, applying for for Criminal Registration (DGAJ), changing the address in Cartão de Cidadão (AMA), requesting a Digital Mobile Key (AMA), and the delivery of expense documents (ADSE).

There are currently 610 Citizen Spots throughout the country, six of them in the municipality of Lisbon (High Commissioner for Migration, Benfica, Misericórdia, Santo António, Lumiar and Alcântara).

In total, Citizen Spots have already received more than 1.2 million people, of which more than 74 thousand resorted to the services in Lisbon.
