ACT shares 19 back to work recommendations

06.05.2020

ACT - Authority for Working Conditions released a set of 19 recommendations to adapt workplaces and protect employees, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The recommended measures are in line with what has been advocated by the health authorities since the outbreak and are shared between companies and employees.

According to ACT, it is important that indoor workplaces are ventilated, preferably by strengthening natural ventilation. And that the maintenance and cleaning of ventilation and air conditioning systems be guaranteed.

Enterprises should also ensure, where necessary and possible, that the layout of workplaces is changed to maintain physical distance and reduce contact between employees. If there is no possibility to change workplaces, ACT recommends the creation of a physical barrier between employees, for example by using partitions.

Employers shall ensure that employees have access to personal protection equipment appropriate to the occupational risks and functions they perform.
