Applications are open for the 3rd edition of UPskill program
Applications are now open for the 3rd edition of UPskill, an information and communication technology training program for people who are unemployed or underemployed. Applications can be made online until the end of December, and the first training sessions will start in the first quarter of 2023.
UPskill provides intensive training for 6 months at a participating higher education institution. The next phase is on-the-job training in one of the companies that are part of the project, which may result in the hiring by the company.
This program includes a training grant, paid by the Institute of Employment and Professional Training (IEFP), equivalent to the national minimum wage. At the end of the training, at least 80% of the trainees will be hired with a minimum salary of 1,200 euros.
The requirements to apply are as follows:
- Completed 12th grade or undergraduate degree (the required qualification depends on each training action).
- Good English level (B2).
No prior knowledge of technology is required.
The 3rd edition of UPskill will have a second round of registrations, whose date has not yet been announced.
