Temporary delivery centres for Citizen Card pick up

From today, 18 May, it will be possible to withdraw the Citizen Card at two Temporary Delivery Centres, in Lisbon and Porto.

This service is intended only for citizens who have chosen to withdraw their Citizen Card at service desks of the High Demand Registry, and who have not yet scheduled their withdrawal.

In the temporary delivery centres the service is made by appointment only. Citizens will be contacted by the Registries and Notary Institute (IRN) by telephone, scheduling the day and time to attend the Centre.

Today two temporary delivery centres open, in Lisbon and Porto, and tomorrow another centre will open in Lisbon.

The Lisbon Delivery Centres operate in the G Building of the Justice Campus and in the Civil Registry premises on Av. Fontes Pereira de Melo. In Porto, the Centre operates at the Civil Identification Department's premises, on Rua Alferes Malheiro. The Centres are open from Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

It is planned to open more Centres in areas of the country where there is a high number of Citizen Cards pending delivery.
