Two new Local Centers of Support for the Integration of Migrants in Barcelos and Pombal

Two new Local Centers for Migrant Integration Support (CLAIM) were inaugurated in Barcelos and Pombal. The CLAIM in Barcelos operates in the facilities of the Balcão Único, in the City Hall, and the CLAIM in Pombal in the building of the Citizen Shop of Pombal.

The CLAIMs are reception offices/spaces that provide support and information on the process of welcoming and integrating migrants, articulating integration with local structures.

The CLAIM network is currently made up of 156 centers in Portugal, 7 of which are located in higher education institutions. There are also 4 National Centers of Support for the Integration of Migrants (CNAIM), located in Lisbon, Porto, Faro and Beja.

The centers are the result of a protocol with the High Commission for Migrations (ACM).
