Submission of the Disability Pension application available online

Through the Segurança Social Direta (SSD - Direct Social Security) it is already possible to submit the disability pension request online. Social Security has made available a step-by-step manual with information for the request registry via SSD (pdf). This new feature, which aims to avoid travelling to the service desks, also allows you to consult the status of the process, with information on the status of the request.
In addition to this service, the SSD also allows the request of an Old-Age Pension in the case of beneficiaries who are already of normal age of access, and Reimbursement of Funeral Expenses.
