Finance extends IRS deadlines to 27 February
The Tax and Customs Authority (AT) has extended the deadline for some communications for IRS purposes. Families have until 27 February to declare changes to their household, education expenses and rental charges.
The deadline has been extended for the following communications:

Communication of the household - only if there has been a change in the composition of the household (e.g. birth, marriage, divorce, death, change in parental agreement or change of residence)

Communication of educational expenses for students attending educational establishments in a Territory of the Interior or Autonomous Region

Notification of rent expenses in case of moving to a house in the Interior of the country

Communication of the duration or the termination of the rental contract, for long-term contracts (ALD).
The registration and validation of invoices can also be done until 27 February, on the Portal das Finanças.
The IRS declaration is delivered between 1 April and 30 June. Learn more about the deadlines to take into account for the IRS.
