Government promotes Christmas iniciative - Buy taking care of all

"Plan your Christmas with time. Buy while taking care of everyone" is the motto of the initiative, promoted by the Ministry of Economy and Digital Transition, aimed at shops that commit themselves to extend the time of Christmas gift exchanges.

The establishments that join the initiative, represented by the label Christmas 2020, allow purchases made between 4 November and 25 December 2020, to be exchanged at least until 31 January 2021.

The initiative aims to ensure compliance with the recommendations of the Directorate General of Health for the Commerce sector and rules of occupation, stay and physical distance in commercial establishments.

To join, economic operators must request the Christmas 2020 label through the ePortugal portal, by signing a declaration of commitment and placing the label in the establishment.

The list of participating establishments can be consulted on the website of the Directorate-General for Economic Activities (DGAE).
