IHRU provides exceptional rent support scheme

The Institute of Housing and Urban Rehabilitation (IHRU) has created an exceptional scheme of support to the rents, in the scope of the epidemiological situation provoked by COVID-19.

This exceptional scheme is applicable to rents that must be paid in the months in which the state of emergency is in force and in the first month thereafter, as of 1 April 2020, in accordance with Law No. 4-C/2020 of 6 April.

Requests for rent support should be made on the housing portal, choosing the link for landlords or tenants. For this it will be necessary to authenticate in the portal, through the Digital Mobile Key, Citizen Card, or credentials to access the Portal das Finanças (Finances Portal).

The decision of the IHRU will be communicated to the interested party by email within a maximum of 8 days from the date of delivery of all information and documentation required for this purpose.
