Enrollments for pre-school and primary school begin on May 4th

Pre-school and primary school enrolment for the 2020/2021 academic year begins on 4 May and runs until 30 June. According to the decree-Law published in the Official Gazette, the enrolments must be made, preferably via Internet, through the Portal das Matrículas (Enrolments Portal), using authentication through the Citizen Card, Digital Mobile Key or access credentials to the Portal das Finanças (Finances Portal).

For the 2nd and 3rd cycles of basic and secondary education, the normal period for enrolment is fixed by the principal of each school.

The lists of students admitted are published on 24 July for pre-school and primary school and on 30 July for secondary education.
