On 16 November the migration process of digital terrestrial television (DTT) in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area (AML) will begin with the change of the Palmela broadcaster. In this region, besides the Palmela broadcaster, the broadcasters of Graça, Cacém, Barcarena, Algueirão, Bezerra, Aldeia de Juso, Azóia, Cascais, Sintra, Estoril, Odivelas, Póvoa de Santo Adrião, Torres Vedras and Alenquer will change frequency. In AML, the process should be concluded on 7 December.

The migration process of the DTT network was suspended on 13 March, due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, when broadcasters were being changed in the AML. When the process was resumed in August, the changes to the transmitters serving the AML were recalculated to mid-November.

To help in this process, ANACOM has set up a free helpline (800 102 002), which operates every day from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., to which people can call to clarify questions and get support in tuning their television.

If you are unable to tune in, or with the help of the freephone 800 102 002, ANACOM will arrange a visit to your home to tune in, with its technicians, free of charge.
