NORTE 2020 launches public tenders to expand business hosting
The NORTE 2020 Operational Programme has launched two new calls for tender aimed at investments in the creation or expansion of structures for the location of companies already established in the Northern Region.
The aim is to make the region more competitive by increasing the turnover from the sale of new products and exports, as well as improving the organisation and management dimensions of companies and their integration into cooperation and knowledge networks.
Municipalities, municipal companies, associations of municipalities or companies managing areas of business location with majority public capital, geared to activities of creation, management and stimulation of business spaces, can compete for these supports.
The calls for tenders have a budget of 12 million from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), an amount that results from the diagnosis made on the mapping of investments in business host infrastructures. The maximum rate of funding is around 85 percent, with the maximum value of the operation not exceeding 750 thousand euros.
