Informative note - Beneficiary Central Registry

Pursuant to paragraph 1 of Article 17 of the Administrative Decree No. 233/2018, consultation of the information provided in the RCBE by obliged entities must only be carried out after the end of the period provided for in paragraph b) of paragraph 1 of Article 13 of the same administrative decree, that is, after 30 June, without distinction between entities subject to commercial registry and others.

To this extent, the said date - 30 June - constitutes the end of period for initial declaration to be submitted by the entities incorporated until 1 October 2018, regardless of their legal nature.

Thus, only after 30 June 2019, the verification of non-compliance with the obligation to declare the effective beneficiary can give rise to penalties provided for by law.
