With the aim of improving the quality of service it provides and bringing more companies for internationalisation, contributing to the expansion of the national export base, the technological platform “Portugal Exports was launched by the Agência para o Investimento e Comércio Externo de Portugal, E.P.E. (Portuguese Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade - AICEP), which, using Artificial Intelligence, provides tools with multiple facilities, such as indication of business opportunities, commercial and empowering actions, design of tailor-made internationalisation action plans or diagnostics of company maturity, among other relevant contents.

This is a customized and easy to use digital solution, which has as one of its main novelties a reserved area, to which it is possible to access through a login with the Digital Mobile Key. In this area, the information is specifically directed to each company, from the fairs that may interest them the most, potential business partners, commercial and training initiatives or markets to explore. The suggestions are made based on Artificial Intelligence, which analyses each profile, from the size of the company, its financial situation, the level of maturity and the dynamics of sales abroad. Thus, two apparently similar companies operating in the same area may have totally different suggestions.

For now, the functionalities of the reserved area are only available for footwear companies, but over the next few months they will be extended to the remaining sectors, at a rate of one per month. Home textiles, furniture and lighting and wines will be the next areas.
