ADSE refund requests are now made online only

16.04.2020

ADSE has created a new feature, through the portal ADSE Direta (Direct ADSE portal), which allows its beneficiaries and employers to send their claims via Internet, no longer requiring physical documents to be sent by post for the claim to be processed.

In order to make this measure operational, foreseen in the 2020 State Budget, several tools have been developed, namely the replacement of the supporting document, which at this moment is the receipt, by the invoice, receipt-invoice or simplified invoice.

In this way, the document proving health care provision becomes the original invoice, receipt-invoice or simplified invoice, and must include:

  • the tax identification number of the beneficiary
  • the value of the act or health care cannot be spread over more than one invoice
  • health care provided must be clearly identified in the ADSE tariff rules and prices
  • the invoices must have been submitted in the e-fatura (electronic invoices) system by the provider and must not have been cancelled or the subject of a credit memo issue.

This new feature aims to make claims easier, faster and more convenient due to the current pandemic period, where the availability of digital services is a key means to prevent citizens from travelling to public places.
