Portal for residence permit for CPLP citizens already available

Citizens of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP) can now apply online for a residence permit in Portugal. 

To obtain the residence permit online, you must have submitted an expression of interest by 31 December 2022 or have a CPLP residence consular visa issued after 31 October 2022.

With this new portal, it is simpler and faster to request a residence permit, without having to go to a SEF (Foreigners and Borders Service) counter, unless minors are involved.
