The Documentation and Information Centre in Education (CDIE) of the DGE is a reference centre in the field of Education Sciences. Its main objective is to support the entire scientific and educational community by making available a collection of documents on different media (books, periodicals, DVDs, CD-Rom's, educational games), in person or at a distance.

All the resources are available and organized by subject, according to the Universal Decimal Classification and in free access, distributed as follows:

• The main Reading Room which gathers the most recent monographs and reference works
• The Media Library, which gathers the resources in electronic format and the periodic publications, as well as the documents from before 1995, distributed by four deposits
• All documents can be lent for a period of 10 days, renewable, with the exception of periodicals, reference works, master's/doctoral theses and reserved documents.

The CDIE's assets can also be consulted from the Database at the Integrated System of Libraries of the Ministry of Education (SIBME). Some of the existing documents can be found in digital format in the respective Digital Library tab in the SIBME.
