Social support for children and adolescents in danger is a set of integrated responses of social care and support for children and adolescents in danger, whose main objectives are to promote the rights and protect the children and adolescents in danger through responses aimed for the personal and social development of the child or adolescent in a safety and familiar environment which grants them safety, health, upbringing, education, well-being and full development.

There are 4 types of responses:

  • Family Support and Parental Counselling Centre (CAFAP)
  • Children and adolescents’ support team
  • Foster care
  • Foster homes.
