Request the permanent certificate of commercial registration
The permanent certificate enables online access to registries and documents of any entity subject to commercial registry #8212 companies, partnerships, cooperatives, State-owned companies and others. It may be requested online and replaces the commercial registry certificate in paper.
The commercial registry permanent certificate may focus on:
- registries, and provide the entity’s computerised registries
- registries and documents, and provide computerised registries and electronic documents associated with the entity (except submission of accounts’ documents)
- updated memorandum/articles of association, and provide the latest memorandum or articles of association.
The commercial permanent certificate may be valid from 1 to 4 years and may be requested both in Portuguese and in English.

The request is only completed after payment. Once payment has been confirmed by the register services, the certificate becomes available.
What is the deadline to request the permanent certificate of commercial registration?
You get a code giving you online access to registries 24 hours a day, with the guarantee that the information is always up to date. It therefore offers more security and transparency than the paper certificate.
Presenting the access code replaces the paper certificate. You are also given access to registry requests still pending.
If requested in English, the certificate is available up to 3 working days after payment confirmation.
