When can you find out where to vote?

  • Information on where to vote is available 15 days before the elections or referendum
  • The voter registration can be consulted at any time.

How find out where to vote?

It is only possible to know the place of voting in the 15 days before each election or referendum. Outside this period, you can only check in which parish council you are registered.

Online:

On the voter registry portal

Through an SMS:

  1. write the following message: RE Civil identification number date of birth in YYYYMMDD format (example: RE 12345678 19531007) 
  2. and send it to 3838 (free service). 

Face to face, in a parish council or town hall.

Voters have the duty to check registration in the census.

In case of error or omission, the respective rectification should be requested through a complaint addressed to the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Electoral Administration or the corresponding parish council.

Voter number

The number of voters has been eliminated, so polling stations are now organised in alphabetical order. Each citizen is identified by his/her identification document (Citizen Card or Identity Document).
