Accommodation: support extended to non-grant-holder students on low incomes

Displaced students who do not have a scholarship, but belong to low-income families, will now be entitled to support to help pay for accommodation. The measure applies to students in public and private higher education.

The monthly support will be between 221 euros and 288 euros, depending on the municipality where the higher education institution is located. The families of the young people covered are those earning up to the national minimum wage.

It is planned to make more beds available for students at affordable prices in the coming years, including in the network of youth hostels of Movijovem.
