Applications to SME Fund 2023 now open
The European Union (EU) has launched, through the EU Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), a new edition of the Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) Support Fund for the year 2023.
This support aims to help SMEs to benefit from Industrial Property Rights by allowing a partial reimbursement of the expenses that companies have with trademark registration, design and Industrial Property (IP) pre-screening services.
Applications are made on the EUIPO portal.
At this moment, the SME Fund 2023 has two modalities:
-
IP Pre-Diagnostic Services (IP Scan) - Reimbursement of 90% of the expenses, up to a maximum value of 810 euros
-
Protection of trademarks, designs or models in the EU and outside the EU - Reimbursement of 75% for applications within the EU or 50% for applications outside the EU, up to a maximum value of one thousand euros.
The fund has a budget of 25 million euros, allocated on a first come, first served basis.
