Cartão de Cidadão expirado é válido para votar

Voters with a Citizen Card that has expired since 24 February 2020 will be able to use it to vote in the next presidential elections, scheduled for 24 January. It is not necessary to present proof of the scheduling for the renewal of the Citizen Card.

It should be remembered that, due to the pandemic situation in the country, Citizen Cards which validity has expired since 24 February 2020 will continue to be accepted, for all legal purposes, until 31 March 2021.
