CENTRO 2020 finances National Production projects

The Operational Programme CENTRO 2020 has recently published notices to support business investment in Industry and Tourism, under the National Production Support Programme.

43 million euros are available from the ERDF - European Regional Development Fund - for the eight Notices (one for each of the Intermunicipal Communities), covering the entire territory of the Central Region.

The support is aimed at micro and small enterprises to expand and modernise their production, helping to reduce the country's dependence on the outside.

Financing is provided for investments in machinery, equipment, technological/digital services, as well as quality and certification systems that enable companies to change their production processes.

Projects must have a maximum eligible investment of 235 thousand euros, and may benefit from a base rate of 30%, which will be 40% for investments located in inland territories.

Increases of up to 20% are added for projects falling under relevant priorities such as the digital transition, the circular economy, including energy transition, integrated tourism products with an intermunicipal basis or the Programmes for the Economic Enhancement of Endogenous Resources (PROVERE). The support is non-refundable.
