COVID-19: People over 60 can now schedule vaccinations

11.05.2021

Self-scheduling for vaccination against COVID-19 is now available online for people aged 60 and above. It is possible to choose the most convenient date and place on the portal of the Directorate General of Health (DGS).

Initially reserved for those over 65, this measure has been extended to people aged 60 and above, given the high rate of vaccination registered in recent days.

After scheduling, the user will receive an SMS from the number 2424, with the time when he/she will be vaccinated, on the day and at the chosen vaccination site. It is necessary to reply to the SMS to confirm the appointment.

Please note that you will only receive the SMS if you have not yet been called for vaccination and/or have not contracted the new coronavirus.

As an alternative, you can register in person at one of the more than 750 Citizen Spots throughout the country. The Citizen Spots bring together services from different entities in a single counter, installed in Citizen Shops and in local government service points.

This new phase of vaccination against COVID-19 began last weekend, on 8 and 9 May, and it is estimated that by the end of the month, people over the age of 60 will have been vaccinated with at least one dose.
