The applications for the SME Fund 2024 are now open

23.01.2024

The European Union (EU) Fund to support the protection of industrial property rights of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for 2024 is now accepting applications. This aid allows SMEs to be partially reimbursed, through vouchers, for the costs incurred in Industrial Property (IP) pre-diagnosis - IP Scan/IP Scan Enforcement, trade marks and design, patents and plant varieties.

This is an initiative of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and has an estimated value of 20 million euros for this 2024 edition.

Those interested in support can apply for vouchers via the EUIPO website. Once the EUIPO has given a favourable decision, applicants can then register or apply for industrial property rights.

Applications for the 2024 edition of the SME Fund opened on 22 January and run until 6 December.

To find out more about the SME Fund and the different types of reimbursement, visit the website of the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI).
