Government to support companies with 150 million euros

21.09.2023

Companies will receive support worth 150 million euros to invest in international promotion and employee training. Portugal 2030 has almost 90 million euros earmarked for training workers and 60 million to support the internationalization of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

To support internationalization, 9 lines of support will be launched by the end of the first quarter of 2024, with a support amount of 60 million euros. These Portugal 2030 funds will be used to support various sectors of activity in individual, joint or collective international promotion projects.

The first call for tenders will be for 18 million euros. It will aim to promote the internationalization of SMEs, international recognition and export capacity, as well as access to new markets, through joint promotion and marketing actions.

With regard to worker training, a new support measure worth 89.5 million euros will be launched. The first two calls for tenders for this measure will be launched at the end of October.

This support aims to make the most of production downtime in companies, turning it into skills promotion. This is a measure included in the Medium-Term Agreement to Improve Incomes, Wages and Competitiveness.
