IAPMEI launches knowledge space on sustainability in companies

IAPMEI has created a knowledge space on the theme "ESG and Sustainable Finance" to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) adapt their businesses to regulatory matters of sustainability factors.

The project aims to be a guide for companies that are starting their journey in these matters, alerting them to the main areas of impact to which the activity is subject. It also aims to help companies better understand the complex regulatory framework associated with sustainable finance.

IAPMEI highlights that the alignment of business with ESG factors, the acronym for responsible management practices linked to the Environment, Social, and Governance domains, is now inevitable for any company, regardless of its size. And that SMEs that postpone the adaptation process may lose, in the very short term, important competitive and negotiating margins in the wider market.

The project is co-financed by POAT 2020, through the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER).
