Two new Local Centers for Migrant Support inaugurated

The new Local Centres for Migrant Integration Support (CLAIM) were inaugurated in Idanha-a-Nova and Cantanhede on 7 June. The new spaces will operate in the Education Office Building and in the Francisco Pinto House, respectively.

The Idanha-a-Nova CLAIM and the Cantanhede CLAIM will reinforce the specialized and proximity response to the process of reception and integration of migrants from the regions of Castelo Branco and Coimbra.

The centres are the result of a protocol between the municipalities and the High Commission for Migrations (ACM).

The CLAIM Network is currently made up of 148 centres installed on national territory. There are also four National Support Centres for the Integration of Migrants (CNAIM) in Lisbon, Porto, Faro and Beja.
