Three new Local Support Centers for Migrant Integration inaugurated

Last week, three new Local Centres for the Integration of Migrants (CLAIM) were inaugurated: in Góis, Marco de Canaveses and at the Polytechnic of Leiria.

The new spaces will operate in the City Halls of Góis and Marco de Canaveses and in the premises of the Polytechnic of Leiria, respectively.

The CLAIMs will reinforce the specialized and proximity response to the reception and integration of migrants and international students in these regions.

The centres are the result of a protocol with the High Commission for Migrations (ACM).

The CLAIM Network is currently made up of 154 centres in Portugal, 7 of which are located in higher education institutions. There are also 4 National Centres for the Support of Migrant Integration (CNAIM), located in Lisbon, Porto, Faro and Beja.
