IRN launches new platform Empresa Online 2.0

The Instituto dos Registos e do Notariado (IRN) has a new platform for the creation of companies that aims to reduce bureaucracy and make it simpler to create companies online.

Called Empresa Online 2.0, the platform is now available for citizens, lawyers, notaries and solicitors to create companies. The creation of limited companies, which was suspended since 2017, is again possible with this new platform.

To access Empresa Online 2.0 you need to authenticate with a Citizen's Card and have the digital signature of the Citizen's Card activated.

The new platform also allows the social pact to be digitally signed and payment can now be made through MBWay.
