Launched "Single Digital Gateway" with all the information for citizens and companies in Europe

The European Commission launched on 12 December the 'Single Digital Gateway', a platform that brings together all the necessary information on the rights and duties of citizens who want to live, study, work or do business in the European Union and the legal procedures they have to follow.

The 'Single Digital Gateway' is part of the renewed 'Your Europe' portal, which promotes online access to all information on the services available on the national websites of each country. Information guides are available in English and in the various national languages to help different users.

The European Commission and Member States want to ensure that all essential content and services are available online for cross-border citizens by 2023, and to facilitate the direct sharing of documents between authorities in each country to avoid the submission of documents repeatedly.

In Portugal, the coordination and implementation of the portal's content and services has been the responsibility of the Administrative Modernisation Agency - AMA.
