Launch of the Horizon EUROPE Program

The Europe Horizon Programme will be launched on 2 February in an online session, in the context of the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU) and organised in collaboration with the European Commission.

The event brings together speakers from across Europe and includes interventions from researchers, business leaders and policy and government officials. It aims to mobilise the whole of Europe for the Europe Horizon 2021-27 programme and link with the national recovery and resilience programmes under preparation under the “Next Generation EU, 2021-26” programme.

During the initiative, ideas for promoting the dual Green and Digital Transition across Europe and resilient recovery through a renewed European Research Area - ERA - will be presented.

In the case of Portugal, the coordination and dissemination of the strategy to strengthen national participation in the Europe Horizon 2021-27 programme is done through the PERIN Network -Portugal in Europe Research and Innovation Network.
