Social Security line with extended hours until Friday

Between today and Friday (17-19 February), the Social Security Line will operate, exceptionally, with extended opening hours until 8 p.m. The aim is to provide clarifications to a greater number of citizens who want to apply for the Extraordinary Income Support for Workers.

The Social Security Line 300 502 502 will therefore work from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on these dates, after which it will return to its normal schedule, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m..

The Extraordinary Income Support for Workers is aimed at workers in a situation of economic deprivation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, namely employees and trainees, self-employed and informal workers, domestic service workers and members of statutory bodies.

The application is made via Segurança Social Direta (Direct Social Security) until 19 February. The Extraordinary Income Support for Workers must be applied for on a monthly basis and can be granted for between six months and one year.
