New website of the Portuguese Presidency of the EU21

A new website dedicated to the fourth Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union has been launched, presenting the priorities for 2021: the commitment to a Resilient, Green, Social, Digital and Global Europe.

The acceleration of an inclusive and fair digital transition in Europe is one of the axes of the Portuguese strategy, with emphasis on the implementation of higher quality digital practices in Public Administration, which include administrative and fiscal simplification and services.

The focus on a more digital Europe also involves promoting European leadership in the digital economy, in terms of innovation and regulation, stimulating the global digital cooperation strategy and developing the Digital Democracy concept.

The Portuguese Presidency of the EU21 has defined four main priorities, based on strengthening investment and the recovery of the European economy, strengthening the European social model, promoting Europe's role in the world and international partnerships and, finally, creating a more sustainable basis for the European economy.
