Survivor's pension and allowance for loss of family member can now be applied for online

Applications for the survivor's pension and the allowance for the loss of a family member can now be made online via Segurança Social Direta. 

To apply, log in to Segurança Social Direta, go to "Pensions > Pensions and Simulators" and click on "Death benefits". 

This is one of the 85 measures of "Clic" - Social Security's Digital Transition Plan. The plan has an investment of 200 million euros, as part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), and its main objectives are to facilitate people's relationship with Social Security, eliminate bureaucracy and increase the effectiveness of protection.
