Empresa 2.0 platform has new services available

The Instituto dos Registos e do Notariado (IRN) has made new services available via the Empresa 2.0 platform to help create and support Portuguese companies. 

As well as new services, the platform also has new tools, such as the use of artificial intelligence, which make the user experience easier. Available in Portuguese and English, it aims to boost the use of the platform by foreign investors.

Among the new features of Empresa 2.0 are:

• New digital services: online branch and registration of beneficial owner pre-filled in the company creation application
• Simpler and more intuitive permanent certificate
• Extensive catalogue of information services that support the life events of a Company or Collective Entity
• Support for the creation of businesses associated with economic activity
• Authentication for national and foreign citizens (eIDAS) and professionals registered with legal organisations
• Search for corporate acts and provision of public information on organisations
• Electronic page of the entity reserved for partners, managers or directors, which allows access to the registration status, online registration services and the history of interaction with the registration services
• Publicising insolvencies and automatic communication with the courts
• Integration with the Practical Guide to Justice, a conversation model based on ChatGPT technology, for clarifying doubts.

The Empresa 2.0 platform is an IRN project created in May 2023 and funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).
