Citizen Consultation Portal: new income support tool

The IHRU has launched the Citizen Consultation Portal, a new information tool on extraordinary rent support, available on the Housing Portal. 

Through the Citizen Consultation, anyone eligible to receive the support can consult the data that led to the calculation of the amount to which they are entitled, namely:

• the amount of rent in the contract
• the income used to calculate the support
• the amount of support
• household information.

The extraordinary rent support is aimed at families with lease or sublease contracts for their first home, signed until March 15, 2023. Families must have an annual income equal to or less than the maximum limit of the sixth IRS bracket (up to €38,632) and the effort rate to pay the rent must be equal to or greater than 35%.

The monthly support is granted by Social Security.
