“Impulso Jovem" program to be relaunched

28.01.2021

The Portuguese Recovery and Resilience Plan will include the "Impulso Jovem" (Young Impulse) Programme, to enable all young people to enter higher education. The recovery of this programme will be done within the priorities of the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU), to create a fairer Europe for the new generations.

The "Impulso Jovem" programme was created in 2012 to combat the high unemployment rate of young people aged between 15 and 24. Its goal now is to have six out of ten 20-year-olds in higher education by 2030, increasing school attendance by 20%.
