Clean & Safe" seal was awarded

The "Clean & Safe" seal was one of the winners of the 2nd edition of the National Tourism Award. This seal is aimed at local accommodation units and catering and beverages establishments.

Created in April 2020, the "Clean & Safe" seal serves the purpose of distinguishing tourist activities that ensure compliance with hygiene and cleanliness requirements for the prevention and control of Covid-19 and other possible infections. The aim is to reinforce tourist confidence in the destination.

The seal, which is free and valid until 30 April 2021, can be requested online at eportugal.gov.pt. The attribution of the seal is dependent on compliance with a set of provisions depending on the type of establishment or venue. After online validation of the commitment, the companies are authorised to use the seal, either in the physical premises, or in the channels and platforms for dissemination and sale.

The creation of the "Clean & Safe" seal involved the Agency for Administrative Modernisation, the Directorate-General for Economic Activities and sector associations.
