Automatic Social Energy Tariff awarded by the UN

The Automatic Energy Social Tariff has been announced as a big 2020 winner of the United Nations Public Service Awards in the "Delivering Inclusive and Equitable Public Services for all" category, following the application made by AMA and the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology. The awards, launched in 2003, aim to recognise excellence in public service worldwide.

Since 2016, the Energy Social Tariff (TSE) has been fully automatically assigned through the Interoperabilidade na Administração Pública (Interoperability in Public Administration) (iAP) platform, an AMA project. This platform allows the crossing of data from various entities to identify consumers who are entitled to TSE.
