03.08.2022

The second phase of applications for the "Support Gas" programme is open until 30 September or until the funding of 160 million euros is reached. This incentive aims to support the companies most affected by the increase in natural gas prices.

This support is granted in the form of a non-refundable incentive (non-refundable fund) for the continuity of economic activity, productive capacities and employment.

Applications are submitted through an online form at the Funds' Desk.

The programme covers the following gas energy-intensive manufacturing industries:

  • Textile fibre preparation and spinning
  • Weaving, finishing and manufacture of textiles
  • Manufacture of made-up textile articles, except apparel
  • Manufacture of textiles for technical and industrial uses
  • Manufacture of pulp, paper, paperboard and paper products
  • Manufacture of basic chemicals, nitrogen fertilisers, plastics and synthetic rubber in primary forms
  • Manufacture of glass and glass products
  • Manufacture of refractory ceramic products and articles for construction, household, ornamental and sanitary uses
  • Manufacture of cement, lime and plaster
  • Manufacture of concrete, plaster and cement products
  • Manufacture of steel and ferro-alloys.

To be considered an energy-intensive company, the cost of energy products and electricity must reach a minimum of 3% of the value of production, or the value of the national energy tax must reach 0.5% of the added value.

The support to be granted has a maximum limit of 400,000 euros per company, with a rate of 30% on the eligible cost determined by the number of natural gas units in the company.
