BREXIT: SEF begins registering British families living in Portugal

26.01.2023

After notifying more than 37,000 British citizens living in Portugal under Brexit, The Immigration and Border Service (SEF) has begun identifying households.

At this stage, the registration is only done for those who have the residence card of a family member of a European Union citizen.

The registration must be done on the Brexit Portal, by filling in the residence card number for each family member to be regularized and defining the degree of kinship.

Subsequently, the persons in the household will be notified to schedule the biometric data collection and replace the residence card with the new residence permit.
